Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band is our non varsity band, comprised of second and third year band members.

 

Membership is determined by audition, academic eligibility history and overall work ethic and performance history.

 

The Symphonic Band performs at least four concerts throughout the year, and participate in UIL Concert and Sightreading in the Spring. Additional performances may include school pep rallies and other opportunities where all AMS bands are performing. Members in the Symphonic Band are expected to work diligently. They are required to participate in the IHB audition process and encouraged to participate in the All-Region Audition process in the Fall. Symphonic Band members are required to attend weekly sectionals and participate in Solo and Ensemble Contest. In addition, they are strongly encouraged to participate in private lessons.
