Meet the Librarian
Hello! My name is Adina Brassie, and I am excited to be starting my sixth year as the AMS Librarian.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri and a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas. After graduating, I spent two years teaching special education in a K-8 setting in Missouri, followed by 12 rewarding years as a stay-at-home mom.
In 2005, my family and I relocated to Granbury, where I began my Texas teaching career as a preschool teacher at a local church. I then worked as a substitute teacher for GISD before taking on a 3rd-grade teaching position at Brawner Intermediate School, where I taught for 10 years. Now, I’m thrilled to continue my journey as the AMS Librarian!
My husband, Ken, and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Ken is a chiropractor here in Granbury, and we are proud parents of three wonderful boys, two amazing daughters-in-law, two grandsons and a lively dog.
