Meet the Librarian

Hello, my name is Adina Brassie and I am very exctied for my first year as the AMS Libraian!

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education from the University Missouri and recently earned my Masters of Library Science from the University of North Texas.  Right after graduation I taught for two years in Missouri as a special education teacher in a K-8 setting.  I then was blessed with 12 years as a stay-at-home mom.

My family and I moved to Granbury in 2005, I served as a preschool teacher at a local church for two years, then a substitute teacher for one year at GISD, and finally a 3rd grade teaching positon at Brawner Intermediate School.  I taught third grade at Brawner for 10 years and now on to a new adventure as the AMS Librarian.

My husband, Ken, and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this summer.  Ken is a chiropractor here in Granbury.  We have three amazing boys, a soon-to-be daughter-in-law, and two crazy dogs.  Justin, our oldest son and his fiance will both be starting school at Parker University this fall.  Justin will be studying chiropratic medicine and Rebecka will be studying sonography.  Garin will be starting his college adventures this fall as a freshman at Texas A & M.  His plan is to major in Biology and follow his dad and brothers footsteps into chiropratic medicine.  Our youngest, Austin, will be a sophomore at Granbury High School, where he enjoys being part of the MCJROTC program.

I am looking forward to an amazing year here at AMS!!!
