June 2026 Board Meeting Achievement Spotlight

Granbury ISD was proud to recognize several outstanding students, staff members and community partners during the June 2026 Board of Trustees meeting for their achievements, leadership and dedication.

Lemonade Day Top Entrepreneur of the Year

Congratulations to Brawner Elementary students Hank Scott, Jase Brooks and Bentley Bedwell, whose business Black Hole Lemonade was named the district's Top Entrepreneur of the Year during Lemonade Day. The students were recognized by Hood County Chamber of Commerce CEO Holly Martin for their creativity, hard work and entrepreneurial spirit.

Granbury High School FFA State Teams

The Board also recognized Granbury High School FFA students and advisors for an outstanding year of success in Career Development Events (CDEs), competing against more than 21,000 FFA members across Texas. Six teams advanced to the state level, including the Range Team (8th in state), Land Judging Team (15th in state), Horse Evaluation Team (Top 13%), Entomology Team (Top 15%), Dairy Cattle Team (Top 17%) and Wool Team (Top 22%).

CKH National Showcase Schools District Recognition

The Board also celebrated all Granbury ISD campuses for earning the National Showcase Schools District Award from Capturing Kids' Hearts, recognizing the district's commitment to building strong relationships and positive campus cultures.

Superintendent Advisory Groups Complete Year of Service

Finally, Dr. Courtney Morawski recognized members of the Staff, Parent and Community Superintendent Advisory Groups for completing a successful year of collaboration and engagement through the Engaging Granbury initiative. These dedicated volunteers provided valuable feedback and perspectives throughout the school year to help strengthen Granbury ISD.
